Commercial Co-ordinator

BHR Group is looking for a highly motivated, organised commercial co-ordinator, with strong communication skills to support our busy sales and marketing team. The successful candidate will serve as a point of contact for potential and existing customers and provide administrative support for our commercial managers.

Responsibilities

The Commercial Co-ordinator will play a key role in driving activity within the business. Supporting sales and marketing activities responsibilities will include:

·        Work with and support the sales and marketing teams

·        Coordinate lead generation efforts with commercial managers

·        Qualify sales leads

o   Make follow up calls from campaigns

o   Make follow up calls from inbound enquiries

·        Perform prospecting and business  development functions

·        Contact clients to obtain missing information or answer queries

·        Source key target data

·        Communicate effectively with the wider business including

o    Sharing important feedback from customers

o   Reporting activity and inputting into campaign planning

·        Stay up-to-date with BHR Group engineering consultancy services activities.

Experience and skills required

·        Display a determination and tenacity to get things done, results focussed

·        Strong computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·        Excellent organisational and multitasking skills

·        An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

·        Good customer liaison skills

·        Strong written and verbal English

CFD/FEA Engineer

The Company

BHR Group is a leading private Research and Consultancy company providing expert technical services to a wide range of industrial clients. We specialise in fluid dynamics and mechanics, materials science, tribology and fluid physical and chemical behaviour of industrial processes from the nano to macro scales. We provide our expertise through consultancy; research and testing services; physical and computational modelling; expert advice; specialist training and conferences; and product development and exploitation. We work closely with our customers to understand their business needs and develop and implement practical technical and business solutions.

The Opportunity & Applicant

We are currently looking for a Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with strong background and interest in CFD/FEA simulations, hydraulic simulations, fluid mechanics, and ideally with an interest and experience of pressure surge and amelioration for pipeline systems. Given the nature of our work, the successful candidate will be expected to work with a wide range of industrial processes and sectors including water and wastewater, renewable and conventional energy sources, process industries and defence and aerospace.

Applicants should possess:-

1. MSc or PhD in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or similar engineering discipline with a solid knowledge of fluid dynamics.

2.    Proven experience in using mesh generation tools, commercial CFD software (preferably ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+ and OpenFOAM) and/or FEA (preferably ANSYS Mechanical) and developing  UDFs.

3.    Exposure to at least two of the following areas of application:

      Multiphase flows (two or three phase flows)

      Implementation of chemical reaction models

      Population balance models

      Free surface flows

      Combustion

      Heat transfer

      Dynamic mesh applications

      Pressure surge analysis

      Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI)

4.    Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English

5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/multiple projects simultaneously while working in a team of experienced professionals

The following attributes would be advantageous

1.     Experience of computer applications such as Flowmaster, WANDA, KYPipe, EPANet for hydraulic and pressure surge analysis.

2.    Programming skills preferably C/C++.
